Liberals are my friends... I laugh at Conservatives ;)

I think people who take these labels seriously enough to fight with "the other side" are comical also.

Because ignorance is bliss.

Because it is so obvious that they are being brainwashed, that it's funny. And then there is the other thing about them not having any common sense. It's becoming ever more clear,that even the great Obamessiah lacks common sense.

Same reasons why conservatives are fun to laugh at. People are funny. I have never asked anyone's political alignment before laughing at them. I am an equal opportunity snicker-er.

Because that is all that conservatives have left. George W Bush exercised almost every far right principle, and demonstrated to the whole world how each one was politically and morally bankrupt. So, conservatives either look at the facts and come over to our side (Well done, Colin Powell and Senator Specter!) or they can simply curl up and cry or laugh. Laughter is more fun. But the truth is that we (liberals) laugh at you too! And laughter is good because without it, all these issues would become too tense!

Both conservatives and liberals are fun to laugh at because they take stands. And what's hilarious is when their stands fly in the face of logic, history, truth and facts. Both sides often take positions based on feelings and moral ideas. Conservatives, for example, usually are opposed to abortion because they consider it to be immoral, even though abortion is credited for reducing the crime rate (by eliminating unwanted babies who would have grown up in a low-income and minority society that tends to produce criminals). Even though conservatives generally favor personal liberty, most also are opposed to pornography, strip clubs, nude beaches, extramarital sex, homosexual activity and vulgar public speech, and sometimes they try to legislate against these things. The dichotomy between the conservatives' talk about freedom and their actions to diminish some personal freedoms as well as the disparity between conservatives' beliefs and their sometimes opposite actions makes for good humor. In general, however, conservatives make political decisions based on facts and logic, while liberals, on the other hand, base virtually every decision on what makes them feel good. Some examples: Liberals support recycling even if it wastes more energy than it saves. Liberals support research using stem cells taken from aborted fetuses even if such stem cells have never provided a breakthrough that is not available through the use of non-fetal stem cells. Liberals tend to believe Al Gore's wild claims and widely disputed charts and figures (such as the rise of the sea level) because it makes them feel good to support causes and policies that will "save the earth." Liberals support mass transit regardless of its cost to society, ignoring the many negative impacts of replacing roads with rails, eliminating public parking, the high likelihood that trains and/or buses may often be driven at least one direction daily practically empty, because they like to help the poor, who can't afford automobiles, and they think that mass transit will reduce our "carbon footprint," even if it doesn't. They want everybody to drive electric cars even if that electricity comes from sources they oppose, such as nuclear power plants, coal-fired electric generators and hydroelectric plants, which dam natural streams and rivers. They support the subsidization of corn alcohol even if it raises the price of food for the poor. They support wind generators even if hundreds of them produce less energy than a single below-ground coal mine or half a dozen oil pump jacks. And they say that wind generators produce clean energy even as hundreds of windmills litter the countryside, ruining scenery, each requiring a permanent road system for maintenance, destroying acres of wildlife habitat. And yet they oppose a tiny oil recovery system in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge even if it could produce billions of gallons of oil that so far has shown to be a highly efficient method of powering trucks and cars that are vital to our economy. Some liberals oppose the use of insecticides that have reduced some insect-born diseases so much in tropical areas that human populations have increased. They fight the improvement of any highway even if it would speed the flow of traffic and, therefore, reduce the waste of gasoline that occurs in stop-and-go traffic. It's all sad and funny at the same time.

A lot of people mock what they aren't capable of understanding.

In short they speak gibberish .. They quote facts from a best case scenario .. They feel .. They mean well but are so off course its actually bunny to watch ... More thoughts... Because when they argue they more often than not come up with a knee jerk answer or a Utopian idea .. Not a real world idea that most of us have learned by being real adults ..With real jobs .. Oh I know they are not familiar with that as its the idealistic side of youth that is a Liberal .. I was one too .. I learned .. I evolved ..

For the same reasons as conservatives: They get stuck on their own ideology and self righteous rhetoric , that they start to believe their own bullshit.

Any person on either side of the liberal-conservative spectrum is fun to laugh at. In fact, any person who describes themselves with a title that defines their beliefs, values, and principles is fun to laugh at. This is because they let you know who they are in one word, and therefore it is much easier to make jokes at their expense.

I don't think the loss of freedoms that have stood for over 200 years is something to laugh about. True they are absurd. True they don't even hear themselves when the talk. But it is a time for mourning and fear in our nation today when bigotted fools, and self-serving socialists are in power. As it has been said: "Pity the sheep when the wolf is judge."

I thought all politically-obsessed people are fun to laugh at. If you take them seriously, you just might become one of them.

For the same reasons why everyone is fun to laugh at, we're all ignorant. Each one of us picks and chooses the things we WANT to believe, without taking into consideration every factor. When you do that, logic will almost always not follow. Conservatives generally support more selfish beliefs, like anti-abortion, anti-gay, etc. where liberals tend to generally support more selfless beliefs, like reducing pollution, reducing poverty, etc. . The main reason why anyone who engages in political debate is so much fun to laugh at is because the system itself is so screwed up that it's destined to fail. So when one side argues that the other is going to ruin the country, they are technically right. Money is created out of debt for the full amount created plus interest. It's impossible to get back to even or on the good side of interest. So I like to laugh because both sides think they make the country better, but neither really can. +3

Because they are much better comedians. I'll never forget how painful that half hour news hour was to sit through, conservatives just aren't good at producing anything funny.

I always thought conservatives were more fun to laugh at, they actually believe that we can sustain this way of life without change, thats a pretty funny thing in and of itself.

Because they are completely totally clueless. For example 99% of black teen males voted for Barack Hussein Obama and one year later unemployment rate among them climbed from 30% to disastrous 50.4%. 80$ of stanford students voted for Obama (and they are supposed to be smart), but Barack Obama cracked down on corporate profits and Stanford endowment is down from $20B to $12B. And there is no money now to give free health care to these very students now, and they must pay $1,600 out of pocket. Aren't liberals funnier than Larry Curly and Moe?

Here's a humorous way to look at it, :-) Conservative vs Liberal If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed. If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn`t eat meat. If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone. If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his Enemy. A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good. If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life. If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect. If a black man or Hispanic are conservative, they see themselves as independently successful. Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection. If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him. If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down. If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it's a foreign religion, of course!) If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his. If a conservative slips and falls in a store, he gets up, laughs and is embarrassed. If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he's in labor and then sues. If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh. A liberal will delete it because he's "offended".

Maybe because people mock what they don't understand. They cannot grasp complex ideas, therefore they make fun of them.
