Teacher. They could not pay me enough to be in class with disrespecful students. Guns in school and drugs in school are a deadly combination. I do not trust attorneys. Doctors think they own the world. And, engineers i have no knowledge.

Teacher....they are not only a teacher...they do a multitude of other jobs. They are at times a parent to some children who don't have parents that give them the time of day. They are nurses to children when they are hurting emotionally or even physically. The are referres when a child is fighting with another child. They are a multitude of professions.....I know because I have a daughter who taught first grade and 2nd grade.

engineer no doubt!!! drs charge 75 bucks for 10 mins of their time. they make appointments and ALWAYS show up late. Lawyers are liers fakes and cheaters that only take your side because it benefits them. even if you and them and everyone involved knows your wrong they still take your side. teachers have sex with our kids cause they are social defects and they prey on the naieve. so that brings us to engineers that accomplish great feats and make the world a better place for us all to live in. engineers all the way

I am married to an electrical engineer and know how hard he works and how much knowledge it takes to do his job. Of course, I admire him. I do admire doctors and lawyers ... usually. Teachers probably should get all of our admiration and respect. They are the lowest paid and have probably the most important jobs ... educating our young people!

Each has their own unique pluses and minuses. Each of them, when done correctly, makes a valuable contribution to society. Each of them, when done incorrectly, can really screw something up. Teachers and engineers are undervalued. I don't know if doctors and lawyers are over or fairly valued. The one I really admire the most, is the one doing the job that they're supposed to do, correctly. Choosing between the four professions, I declare a three way tie, omitting the lawyer.

Engineers have an important job, but it's fairly easy to learn the trade. Teachers have a mostly thankless job, and really aren't compensated. Lawyers are definitely the most under-appreciated of the lot. They work 90 hour weeks and they are responsible, directly and indirectly, for almost everything that we do. Doctors are certainly admired, but they also aren't appreciated as much. Many don't realize how hard they work and how many hours of dedication they have to put into learning the trade; it takes years. Still, they pull long hours while working and are constantly surrounded by death. That said, I admire doctors the most. Followed by lawyers, teachers, and engineers in that order.

I am a nurse so my answer is easy...doctor. After all, they do save lives!

Gotta go with doctor, for obvious reasons. :-) That being said, my mother taught high school chemistry for 30 years before retiring in relief. I don't think I could do that job, and I admire her for doing it!

Teacher -- if it weren't for teachers, doctors, lawyers, and engineers wouldn't be, now would they? (Said the lawyer who is the son, nephew, cousin, and great-grandson of teachers.)

Teacher. If there were no teachers, there would be no doctors, lawyers or engineers. Still they are all important.

Everyone should love teachers. They have thankless jobs for the most part. If they do their job right then no one notices, if they make a mistake then they are trashed. BTW, teachers taught doctors, lawyers and engineers.

Teachers are the less recognized and are the less rewarded for their contributions but I admire them especially those who have chosen the teaching as their preferred profession.

I admire police, firemen and our military. They put their lives on the line daily, are maligned by many and are paid a pittance. They are true heroes.

Teacher. All require intelligence, dedication, hard work and special qualities. I admire all. For me though doctors, lawyers and engineers get a fantastic salary, and have the greatest status. Good teachers are the heroes who sometimes aren't praised as much as they should be. In the UK, at least. They work incredibly hard so that they can give children the best start in life - They inspire the doctors, lawyers and engineers of the future =)
