  • A genuine one... one that doesn't come with a catch.
  • It was my birthday, a friend I've had since 2nd grade always got me a gift until he was laid off work. He called asked if he could borrow my car (his friend would drop him off) I said sure! 2 hours later he rolled into my drive and my car was shining, the windows were clean, my tires looked like brand new and the inside sparkled. I cried. He gave me a gift of his time. BEST gift I ever recieved.
  • An appliance or something electronic or a money envelope.
  • I like those made by hand the best.
  • I have never really been a gift receiver type of person. Throughout the years I have learned to live with what I have, and because of that, I never really seek anything I don't need because of my income. When people always ask, "What do you want for your birthday?" or something, there's not much I have to say, because I technically have everything I need I feel like. I have a car, food, and a place to live and that's good for me. But I guess if I had to pick something I would say a book I have wanted. Books aren't expensive and it can be very useful to me.
  • Something that requires nurture and care, like a houseplant, an animal, or a bonsai tree. Ever since I was a youngster, I have always been partial to these kinds of gifts. They light up my life and give me "instant happiness".
