Nope... They took me to the looney bin instead. Funny how what I was protesting in the first place, was being arrested.

I was in Germany and we were demonstrating against the Vietnam War. The police arrive in force, and a huge fight erupted. My girl friend was beaten up, I was able to get her and flee, we got home and the police were at our apartment, my girl friend had lost her pocket book so they had the address. They keep me for 12 hours but couldn't prove I was there. My girl friend got 90 days.

I have never been arrested for protesting for it is allowed. The police were called to a protest against the Iraq invasion(before the invasion happened),when a few military people dressed as civilians harassed, quite violently, the protesters. The police were called to protect the protesters. They did not realize that the protest was to help make sure they were not put into harms way in a useless war.

I was arrested for protesting against my a hole husband. I pushed him...he cried domestic violence

No. I remember one time in Brussels, Belgium, when I and many others (all of us sitting outside at a cafe facing "the Square") were warned by authorities to clear out. There were lots of people there - clearly on two sides of "something" that I never quite understood. As we were leaving ... saw a whole bunch of riot control police arriving in special suits with big shields in front of them. One thing to be at a rally in your own country where you know what's going on. Did NOT want to be in the midst of something I didn't understand in another country! So no .. I cleared on out of there.

I protested the Vietnam War in 1965 and the Gulf War in 1991, but I've never been arrested.
