I love math as much as I love LIVER! barf If I didn't have my fingers to do math with, I would not be able to do math. Calculators have ruined our minds. when I was a kid we had to do everything by long hand. Now, its calculators.
-
I love math...I'm just not very good at it:(
-
Very much so. Math is not my thing
-
Its sucks
-
love it. Math is all, the universal language.
-
Yes with a passion.
-
I actually enjoy math. It's an amazing thing that no matter where in the world or what time period, math will always be the same. Math is a timeless and universal language.
-
Yes i hate math i always found it hard when at school,my husband on the other hand is like a calculator he finds it easy peasy...the show off:)
-
KILL IT, KILL IT!!
-
I love it. universal language, you can (for alot of things anyway) arrive at the correct answer via logical deduction (it's eben used LOADS in physics!), and its just so.. nice
-
Math is alright till they start putting letters in it.
-
No, I like math. One of my favorite subjects. Use it everyday!:)
-
Heck no! Math is fun, especially when you're learning new applications, but at your own pace. It's like working puzzles, but you end of with relationships and values. That's cool!
-
No. I really enjoyed Geometry but that's not very high up the math chain. I do wish I would have been better at it tho!
-
Math is r0x0rz. Differential equations give me a woody.
-
No, but it's not my favorite thing. I do enjoy using it when I need to, it comes in handy :-)
-
No, I love math :)
-
its the only thing I'm good at
-
absolutly not. it is the basic rules of reality and can be tested. it has nothing to do with opinion or authority. it can not be tweaked to fit an agenda with out proving false. it is the most pure science.
-
I absolutely hate it and it's pretty ironic (because if anyone knows anything about baseball it involves a lot of numbers in keeping stats and such) but I can't stand math it's sad because we use it everyday in life too. Lol
-
I am not good at maths. But that is not reason enough to hate it. You may not love it but you can stay neutral.
-
YES YES YES I HATE IT

A brand plucked from the burning, I loathed maths, and avoided it at school as soon as I could. I wanted to go to medical school, and studied biology, chemistry, and physics. What an idiot I was to imagine that I could study physics without studying mathematics. Too thick and idle to be accepted into medical school I was accepted to study zoology, which I did, and the first cracks began to appear because I was interested in ecology, and they don't make this very clear in the prospectuses, but ecology isn't just about roaring around the Serengeti in Landrovers radio-tagging lions and stuff like that. The dark secret of ecology is population dynamics, and this isn't just maths for scientists, this is non-linear differential equations. Still I managed to get through my undergraduate life in relatively blissful ignorance of mathematics. Then there was the PhD which I winged with recipe-book statistics, and my first brush with programming, the result of which was my first post-doc. The good old man who had taken me on had assumed that as I had a BSc and a PhD, somewhere along the line I had a couple of years of university mathematics. Wrong! He taught me the basics, and the girl who shared my office taught me the rest and it was a revelation! How could I have been so stupid? Mathematics opened vast vistas of science that hadn't meant anything to me before. As time went on I was appointed to a university lectureship, in American terms, I was awarded tenure, and I devoted my research to the modelling of animal behaviour. The last project I was involved with was an international study of the effect of global warming on the populations of seabirds feeding in the North Sea. Most of the birds include sandeels in their diet, and if the water gets warm the sandeels go deeper, making them harder for the seabirds to catch, and this means that parent birds can't feed their chicks so efficiently, and the chicks don't survive so well and the populations decline. So what? Ecological tourism contributes about as much to the GDP of the countries surrounding the North Sea as fishing does, so if you over-fish, if you warm up the sea, you lose a resource. How much? That's what the models predict. I had a huge amount of fun on projects of this kind. If I had stuck at the maths when I was younger I might have contributed even more. That's why I'm a brand plucked from the burning. It is written that Plato's school had the motto 'Let no-one ignorant of geometry enter here'. He was right. Without mathematics nobody can know anything signficant about material reality. It hurts to learn, but the rewards are inexpressible.

No, I don't hate math. I couldn't of had the career that I did, if I wasn't good at math.
-
If you think of it as a game or puzzle then you might love it.
-
Wouldn't say I hate it or love it. I understand it. but not to the extent that I could ever make my living as a mathematician.
-
i hate it, but i use it eveyday
-
I love it. No reason to hate it. No matter how we hate it we can't help but encounter math everyday.LOL
-
No way. It makes everything possible.
-
No. It was my favourite subject in school
-
I like math. I HATE physics.
-
I guess I actually like math, but my problem is that I am not good at it, so it tends to piss me off. However, I do like linear equations...like, more than a friend...
-
No, I had the luck to have mostly nice, interesting teachers in math. But I like some parts of it better than others.
-
Those who say they like it haven't been to a calculus 2 class
-
It's... okay.
-
No, but I really, really did when I was younger. What changed? I realized math never did anything to me. Rather, it did things for me. All the hate I felt for math was coming from me, not from math. And it came from me because I was angry at my own inability to figure out a math problem. I came to discover that math teachers and math text books SUCK beyond anything you can buy at a book store. Why? Well, they don't sell text books in book stores because they really suck, and it's known that no one will buy them. Instead, buy study aids. Go to your local Barnes & Noble some weekend and spend a few hours with that, and your text book, going through the text book and matching it up with the lessons offered in the study aids. Those study aids will help you pass math. The reason is because the different source - the study aid - offers a different perspective of how the work should be done. It's why text books suck. They only show one way. Good luck.
-
absolutely cant stand it if omath was the only subject i would easily be considered mentally impaired
-
not at all. I love it.
-
math is ok to a certain point
-
i hated it as soon as they started the whole: -b(-b) (to the square root of) b (b) + or - 4 (a)(c) all over 2 (a). ugh, the quadratic formula. mathematicians. correct my formula. i know you will. ;)
-
Yes. Especially when I get confused about the order of steps on a problem.
-
Its been a pain in my arse since 1st grade.
-
No, I like Math quite a bit.
-
i love maths so much. i still do some maths in my course now but nowhere near enough pure maths. god i miss it
-
No. I love math, I find it quite easy.
-
i hate it
-
To the point that I wish I could kill it.
-
no man math is the circle of life, the one and only thing that is good in this world, its my life. it is the best
-
thats is my best subject and i graduated as Mathematician(B.Sc).With mathematics you can do all .Think in a perfect or a better way and manner
-
No, I like the way math is logical and constant. Your emotions, the weather, the time of day, have no effect on the outcome of a mathematical equation ... 1 + 1 is always 2 ... ... my Ph.D. is in math ...
-
i love math because i love numbers lol, i love math mainly because i can understand it and because in the end of every problem you only get one answer
-
No. I quite like it
-
I love math, but when you get on to having to use large formula to solve a question, it can get quite confusing.
-
No. Its a good subject because it tells to person about doing calculations and solving some human thinking questions.
-
No its good for me to know the hard ones.
-
I like maths better than all the other subjects, it's so easy, even the hard ones.
-
No :3
-
No. It is a good subject for them who can understand it.
-
math is awesome... all it is is a huge logic puzzle
-
Yes I like it.
-
math hates me.
-
No, I love it, it's in my top 3 favourite courses.
