  • I have won £10 on the national lottery a few times. Oh... here is a story. At a charity fair I won hundreds of pounds by mistake. We were supposed to win an empty wash-bag but for some strange reason they gave me one full of money... which my mum promptly took off me and returned in exchange for an empty wash-bag. • First place, newcommer international Waltz at I belive Ohio State competition. I'm not overly proud of that one though because what happened was my partner and I had always practiced American style Waltz and never international and we where bronze level in American Waltz. So we talked to the Judges about competing international both bronze and newcommer since we never practiced it. They cleared us to compete in Internaional Newcommer. Well we went out and did both bronze and newcommer (A lot of people do that) Well we got called back immediatly for the second round of BRONZE waltz which means we where in the top 50% of Bronze level. I immediatly felt bad because that means we where well above newcommer level if we can get a callback in bronze level. But we got our callbacks in Newcommer and we had to dance it and I wasn't about to throw the thing so we just went out there and did the stuff that was the same for both American and International. The problem was is that we had so much more practice at those moves that we totally spanked the competition who may have been practicing international the whole time but had only been practicing for a couple months and my partner and I had YEARS of experience in American Waltz and we where really really good. So we just simply blew the competition away because we have had years to practice our technique. We won unanimous first (first from all three judges) and blanked everyone else. I have several other awards from dancing although the one I am the most proud of I didn't even get a ribbon for because it was a team competition. And that was when I got 5th place in the team competition in Waltz at the National Collegate Dancesport Championships. My partner at the time was a freshman and we where the only people to even get called back in the team competition from our team.

Also, the same year, I think, I won a contest for best drawing to commemorate the lost lives of September 11th, which I thought was really cool. I did it in the form of the picture of the soliders in Iwo Jima raising the American flag, except I changed it to Firefighters, Police Officers, and EMTs. It had a flag in the background and a faint outline of the towers behind the pentagon. Both of the guidelines for those required or encouraged patriotism. I won an essay writing contest and presented my essay to the state fair in 8th grade about resisting drug use. Those are the only good ones I can think of right now.
