I do not have a preference for any particular celebration. Each day which comes by the grace, mercy and love of God needs to be celebrated ascribing power, wealth, wisdom. strength, honor, glory and praise to Him who is worthy.

Thanksgiving is our favorite holiday. If family/friends are available, we gather together for the day. If not, we talk to them by phone and toast them at our meal. Jim has two sons..one lives in Springfield, Oregon..the other owns his own truck is on the road a lot. I have a son in Honolulu. It's hard when your family is scattered all over the place, but you can still be very thankful and enjoy the day! :) ((hugs))

I love Thanksgiving! It is my absolute favorite holiday for a few reasons: 1. Delicious food 2. Family 3. It is like Christmas only you don't have to worry about presents 4. Leftovers 5. Mid-day naps 6. Football 7. Pie ...yeah that was more than a few, but I love it.

I'd have to say that New Year's Eve is my favorite time to celebrate. It's that thought that you have this whole "new year" ahead of you and everything you did the previous year doesn't matter anymore. It's like driving your old car then getting into a brand new one that no one has ever driven before. It's refreshing. So, yes New Year's Eve is my favorite time to celebrate because it brings us all together, either at the bar, house party or just sitting at home with the family, at 12AM we all end up celebrating some way, (Unless you're asleep by that time.)

I'm a Christmas person because it takes up a lot of my time buying presents for an ever-increasing extended family.
