  • I would hope that we are becoming more enlightened, but conflict, violence and hunger for power seem to be part of the human psyche. I think it will be many more generations and maybe some sort of horrifying event before we come to our senses.
  • Peace and tolerance can only be promoted by those who aren't in a governmental position on a small scale. The best cliche to follow is lead by example. If you're naturaly pacifistic and set good examples, people notice. Now heres why I hate your question. I hate the word tolerance. Tolerance simply means, I can stand near you without killing you. Rather then doing that, we need to promote acceptance. Tolerance is a step before acceptance but acceptance is much more important. I think that untill we have leaders that represent the morals of the country over their own personal morals and ambitions, we cannot affectively promote peace and tolerance. We need to lead by not infringing cultural imperialism and double standards on one another.
  • Put everyone on zanax
  • The intolerance of difference, the human condition, the size of the human population and its history are principal reasons why global harmony won't ever be achieved. See my answer in a related question. http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/101269
  • You could make little commuties full of people, and in the communities you could make "sameness." If you've read the book "Giver" you would know what I'm talking about. In these communities there would be no fun, no choices, no fun, no love, no color, no cars, no animals, no hatred. Getting rid of things things would create no differences and no hate. Nobody would be different there wouldn't be anybody that isn't "perfect." In the book, if you were born deaf, blind, missing something, and if just weren't up to standards you were put to death in a humane way. But to me there is no humane way to die. This is probably outside the scope of what human beings can accomplish, because they always find a way to screw things up. It would also be illegal to do some of things listed above. You could have peace and tolerance, but it would cost a very hard price.
  • The intention of this reality is not peace, but division and competition.
