  • The "Current" is too much for just the switch in the steering wheel to operate, so it operates a "Horn Relay". The relay has a coil in it that when powered connects magnetically 2 contacts of "High Current" capability energizing the horn. So, by locating the 2 wires coming from the "Wheel Switch", U can test it with an "Ohm Meter" ($5.00 @ Harbor Freight Tools). If it is good then the "Relay" or "Horn" may be Bad. To test the "Horn", run a wire from the + battery terminal to "Horn Terminal" & see if it makes noise. No? "Bad Horn". The "Relay" can be tested, but if U have to ask, I think it's beyond Ur capability, BUT it's cheap ($10.00), so just replace it! John
