Unfortunately, yes, you do. It is very much a formed human being and still has to pass through the birth canal. It's an extremely difficult and emotional experience, whether the doctor takes it through surgery (d&c) or lets the process happen naturally. I know this from experience and feel for anyone who has to go through this.
