Hardwood with area rugs.

I prefer carpet for a bedroom... on a cold winter morning you don't want to walk across hardwood.

A nice plush carpet that you can sink your tired feet into before you hop into bed.

Carpet, or at least area rugs. Hardwood is much too cold on my tootsies first thing in the morning.

Hardwood is nice, but for a bedroom I think carpet is more homey and comforting.

carpet leads to rug burns... (sometimes the bed can't hold my wife when she gets too wild. )

I like carpet. Warm and toasty in the winter and slient when I read in the living room or computer room and then slip into bed without waking the wife.

Carpet. You'll be less encouraged to get out of bed if you will step on a cold hardwood floor, especially in the winter when it's cold and you just want to stay in bed and be warm.

I have hardwood with a washable area rug. It's easier to keep clean and I wear some plush slippers when the floor is cold.

For me I need a carpet, but I love hardwood so i am conflicted.
