A 78' International Scout. I was 4 years old. My dad took me to preschool in it. It was old, rusty, and had only lap belts. I rode in the front passenger seat - this was 1997, and many parents did not then know of the dangers of children riding up front.

My father had an old pick-up truck from the 1930s I think. It had a crank handle on the windshield so you could open it up like a window. He had painted it black and red, and it looked pretty cool.

I never took notice of such trivial things when I was a child. I was truly too busy just trying to survive alcoholic parents. I remember one car mom had that was previously a checker cab. It had pop up seats between the front and back seats. Don't remember any seat belts, and yes, I often rode in the back of the truck unrestrained as well.
-
My Grandad's Rover 3 Litre. I think it was a 1960 model. I used to sit on the arm rest in the front bench seat so I could see over the dashboard.

A Plymouth or Chevy from the late 40's.

The earliest I can remember was a 1941 International pick-up it was new at the time. The next I remember was a 1939 Lincoln Zepher V-12 we went through WWII with. Then it was a 1946 Nash 600. 😄
