  • I believe dogs have always been dogs and bears have always been bears. I dont believe in evolution
  • It is just a question about how far back you go. Dogs and bears are both vertebrates - animals with spines. As such, they certainly evolved from some primitive vertebrate group. They are also mammals - hairy beasts giving birth to live young which are then suckled - so thy have a more recent relationship, How recent that reltionshp extends - that I don't know.
  • I don't beleive in evolution it has no bases in lawful science. dogs have always been from the dog family and bears have always been from the bear family.
  • Yes. Within the carnivorous mammals alive today, there are two main groups- the feliforms and caniforms. Dogs are the most basal family in that group. Bears are actually more closely related to mustelids (racoons, badgers, etc..) and pinnipeds (seals, sea lions, etc..), which in turn are more closely related to each other than either is to bears.
