For me, some of the food ones do. The rest fall on deaf ears and blind eyes.

They show me what product thay're offering, and I make up my own mind whether it's needed in my life or not. I do like commercials, though, kind of what some may call a 'necessary evil.'

Commercials are annoying as heck. But usually when I'm walking through a store, I see the product I saw on the commercial, and I'm like, "Hey, that was on TV." Then I decide if I need it or not.

Very seldom if ever. We as a group of family and friends enjoy tearing commericial apart. It is hard to fall for the sale when you are busy disecting it.

Never on a conscious level god knows what they do to my id.

A few have convinced me to try a product, like the Dawn dish soap and Jello Gelatin. To buy it again I have to be impressed, like I am with Dawn. Gelatin is friggin nasty!

There have been times when a commercial has inspired me to try something new. That doesn't happen often now, because I'm old enough to have established pretty firm preferences, but a good commercial for a new product could certainly convince me to give it a try, at least. That's happened with some skin-care products most recently. I remember, by the way, years ago, when the actor John Houseman was shilling for Puritan Oil. I had always used Wesson, but he was SO compelling that I actually started buying Puritan.
