G'day Cyndi, Thank you for your question. I would hope that I would give it to the player as it is their milestone not mine. BTW, good to see you back. Regards
-
We would sell it back to'em. (Baseball players make a ton of money,it'd be a drop in the bucket for him!!
-
I would sell it on Ebay:):)
-
I'd keep it unless they wanted it back.
-
If the ball meant that much to the player and it was HIS trophy. I would gladly give it back to him. Wouldn't want to bust his bubble on HIS day.
-
I would throw it back. Which can be a big deal as the Team usually search those people out who catch these balls and offer them a reward which have been season tickets and signed balls even bats from the players. I would much rather have a signed ball than a milestone ball.
-
I'd ask him to autograph it at a convenient time, then I'd keep it to give to my husband :)
-
I would sell it. That opportunity comes once in a lifetime. I could do some good things with that money for my family. The player still has the bat, for a keepsake...I'm selling the damn thing!
-
if the player came to me and said how much do you want for it i would say... here give me what you think it is worth
-
I would put it up for auction if the player wanted it he could bid just like everyone else.
-
I would give it back if they want to pay for my kids college. Their ball means a lot to them my kids education means a lot to me.
-
I wouldnt give it back. thats what going to a baseball game is all about. the chance to catch one of the homerun balls. how do they know one ball from another, are they numbered? I would probably try to get the hitter's autograph on the ball. then just keep it on my shelf at home.
-
If it's the wrong teams home run I'll toss it back onto the field. If it's my team I would give it to the player in exchange for a beer.
-
Give it to the player, he hit it not me.
-
To keep the ball would actually be pretty damned selfish. If you seriously think you and your family "need" the money, perhaps consider not going to the game in the first place, save the money (transportation, parking, tix, food, souvenirs) and take the family to your local park. Thats how you "need" to save your money. On the flipside, the players' "need" is warranted since that player and their family has been working hard and sacrificing to get that ball into your hands. Do the right thing. You "need" to.

I couldn't imagine keeping it, that's just bad bad karma
