Tennessee. Not just because i live here, but Tennessee has a unique shape all its own. Seven states surround and touch Tennessee. Tennessee is the "hub" for travelers north, south, east and west. And, how about our state song.."Rocky Top, Tennessee"?

I would say Texas has the most distinctive shape, with Florida coming second.

Of the 48 contiguous states I'd say Texas but of all 50 I'd say Alaska.

I would have to say California, Texas, & Florida. They all have extreamly unique shapes.

Michigan. It's the only state, that I know of, where you can show just about anyone where you are speaking of by pointing to a spot on your hand!

Most states have at least one irregularly shaped border with another state defined by a river or strait. The exceptions are Colorado, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming. New Mexico shares a limited river border with Texas. Montana's border with Idaho is defined by mountain ranges. Hawaii and Alaska do not share borders with another US state except by the ocean.

I'd have to agree with Texas. For example: when you see British TV - especially sitcoms - that include an American visitor, almost always the visiting American is a stereotypical Texan. I've seen this on As Time Goes By and the Mr Bean cartoon (which is quite good, BTW), as well as several others.
