  • Well is the RMS power handling of the sub 1200 or is its something far less? If its a cheap sub, I would say its going to be a 400 RMS sub so you're going to need a 800 RMS output amp. If its a decent quality sub, its probably going to be 600 RMS so you're going to need a 1200 RMS amp and ETC. Also, keep in mind your wiring. If you're planning on wiring the entire thing in a 4 ohm setup, you're going to need an amp that has the proper RMS power output at 4 ohms.
