If the moon causes high and low tides, wouldn't i weigh less if the moon is straight over my head ? If that be, then i can blame my weight gain on the moon being on the other side of the earth when i weigh myself.

That's a good one! I hadn't thought of that. I usually blame the fact that I haven't shaved yet that day, or showered to get all that heavy grime off my body. The nurse at the doctors office gets really uncomfortable when I strip naked for the weigh-in...the scale is in the hall.
