  • What are you converting them with? Are you trying to play .vob files or are you actually putting the converted stuff into a DVD-video format that your player can read? Try convertXtoDVD. Works well and fast.
  • Get yourself a DivX/Xvid capable player such as the Philips DVP 642/37 (less than $50 at Wal-Mart) and never have to worry about it again. Just burn your .avi files to a CDR or DVDR and slap them in. And as an added bonus, the player can be region unlocked and has a built in PAL to NTSC converter that ain't half bad. So the bottom line is this thing will play your download files without conversion, any foreign disc ISOs you might obtain and is unhampered by region codes. Not bad for $39.87. Hope this helps.
