Two or five, depending on how you look at it. One for WinXP One for WinXP swap file One for SuSE 10 One for Linux swap One for data that is read/write accessible to both (FAT32, not NTFS) The five partitions are spread across a 100GB and a 30GB which I put in the bay formerly occupied by my floppy drive.

One (300GB), but there's 6 or so other SATA sockets so I could put 5 others. I do have an external (150GB) but that obviously doesn't count.

Currently one. My OptiPlex 7010 has a mobile rack in the spare 5.25 bay, so it can have as many drives as I want...they slip in and out like an old 8-track cassette. I bought lotsa bare hard drives (package of ten) for a song. I expect to have MX Linux on one, five reserved for bare-metal backups, and the last four I have no idea about.
