  • You can show it to a good boat mechanic or otherwise, you can write to the manufacturing company, they have a website and email will not take long to answer http://www.mouthshut.com/review/Spider-Man-114642-1.html
  • probaly need a new carburator .
  • There should be an idle set screw but be for you go messing with that i would check that you are getting proper fuel flow to the motor. If you are and you have verified that you have good strong ignition I.e. the coil is putting out the correct amount of voltage at the correct amperage. and that you have newer spark plug wires if they are old and cracked they may be partially grounded out in which case you may be able to sustain at higher rpm basically because which ever cylinders aren't cracked can carry the cylinders that do have this condition. You should be able to verify most of this easily. You could also check that there is no rust in the holes that the spark plugs go in to.. These are the easiest things that you can check and if any of them are the cause then you should be able to fix it easily if it is more complicated then what i have mentioned her i would take it to a mechanic and unless you are very mechanically inclined and willing to do a full motor rebuild i wouldn't go to much further.
  • You need three things for any engine to run. Air - I assume the air intake is not blocked. Fuel - Sounds like you got that covered. Spark - AH-HAHH!! Go through your spark delivery system. Plugs, wires, coil, distributor etc.
