I'm a proud Englishman. :)

Yes. It is extraordinarily expensive, especially in London. London is full of money- sheiks, billionaires, and others. It tops New York by a long shot. It is not uncommon even outside of SW1 to see a Ferrari, a Rolls-Royce, a Bentley, and a Lamborghini all PARKED ON THE STREET. Nobody would ever leave a Ferrari with the top down in New York. They do in London. That kind of sums up the difference. I'd say the for a tourist right now, I'd go to Edinborough (sp?) in Scotland or perhaps stay in some small bed and breakfast in the countryside. East Anglia - Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, and Norfolk are all gorgeous.
-
Yes... im another aussie living in London, and I love it... besides the weather, its actually a lovely city! Definately recommended

-
Many people have. There are flights in and out of there all day every day. I've been to Liverpool myself. Unless you're a Beatles or soccer fan, not much there. I was there on business and was thoroughly unimpressed.
-
I've never been to England, but I kinda like the Beatles.
-
Yeah I spent far too long there, what a dull country.
-
It is a fantastic country! Beautiful, old architecture everywhere. The countryside is just gorgeous with rolling green hills dotted with sheep and little villages with stone buildings and thatched-roof houses and little pubs and quaint shops everywhere. The English people are generally quite friendly and charming. They are about a year ahead of us westerners in fashion, music, and so on.
-
The only place I've ever been in England is in an airport in London.
-
Every day but next Wednesday (I'm going to Wales)
