I asked a question about tourism to Antarctica here. I was told I could take a cruise. I don't want to take a cruise. Someone told me I can fly in a helicopter from Argentina. Now, I don't want to spend any longer than a few hours in the real land down under. I would like to say that I have set foot on every continent when I die.

Very much so. It's high up on my to-do list. I've wanted to go there since I was little and read about Shackleton's amazing feat of escape after losing the Endurance.

Hell yeah! Try and stop me! My friend went on an expedition to Antarctica and I really enjoyed hearing his stories and seeing his photos =) I wish I had been there too. Sounds amazing.

Yes, I would. I know someone personally who went there on an expedition to write a book. The book was sooooo cool(not because it was cold).

Been there-actually stayed at research station-not just boat trip. Would love to go back but wouldn't want to spend the winter there.
