In the 70's it was Columbian Gold assuming "dankest" means best. I think it's hydro now though.

I am not sure... I know that Purple is great and so is Jamacan orange... I would probably have to go with Purple It is the absolute best I have ever had.

It all depends on the strain and the particular plant. It can vary. I have heard of a strain called Hawaiian snow that was tested at 23% THC content. I remember two types called Blueberry and Bubblegum that were amazingly strong, but I can't verify the content.

I think it all baoils down to personal preference, different weeds have different highs. Some knock you out while others have a more mellow buzz.. I like Vincy Weed Blueberry, AK-47 and Blue-Cheese What the heck....I love em all

it really depends on what you want, if u like the kind of high that goes to your head and makes you think, then go with Afgan Kush (AK-47), or White Widow. these are mostly sativa strains. if you prefer a body high which would make you think less and concentrate on how you feel, then i would suggest Romulan, or Granddaddy Purple (GDP). Romulan is 100% Indica, and GDP has a Sativa/Indica ratio of 20/80. personally i like AK-47, if you can find some that has been grown well enough, it can be a one hit wonder.

when it comes down to it there is no actual "dankest weed". when you get to a certain quality of herb, it reaches an equilibrium in which buds are very resinous and very aromatic with similiar thc lvls. the only thing that seperates them is the type of high, the taste of the bud, duration of the high, and depending on where you live, maybe price. it becomes a matter of opinion. for example, i generally enjoy a strong sativa for an uplifting high that almost tastes as tho youre inhaling a mint and tingles the nostrils when the smoke is exhaled. while other people may prefer fruity or spicy tasting bud, an indica strain, or an indica/sativa hybrid. so by saying "dankest weed" in the world, it is something that should be considered a category, not a single strain. here's my.. top 10 1. super nova 2. g13 x hashplant 3. super silver haze 4. nyc diesel 5. flo 6. ak-47 7. pot of gold 8. pineapple 9. maui 10. f13 go get roorified.. peace

You must go back man years to the early 1970's when a person could buy a 1 oz.bag(4 fingers) for $5..It was all red sticky buds with NO STEMS OR SEEDS. Half of one small thin joint would waste 3 people,and they would save the second half of it for later.
