  • Me. Why would they lie? What did Bush have to gain, really? Reputation? Power? Money? Votes? Like the rest of us, he was reacting to 9/11. It is the Democrats who have the most to gain by convincing people he lied. Are you convinced that Bill Clinton did not lie under oath? By claiming Bush and his administration lied, Democrats help hide their shame. The truth is, neither Washington nor Iraq is always a black and white environment, as much as we want it to be and Bush wanted it to be. Compromises are made every day, and it takes a strong person to stick to their principles. I admire and commend those who do, whatever their party. I believe Bush had good intentions. I supported him as a soldier and as a citizen. He is not as flexible or as smart as I would like him to be, given that he is the President, but good intentions count for something.
  • Of course George W. Bush lied about the reasons for putting our kids in harm's way in Iraq, and Bush continued the lie ever since. That's inexcusable, and Bush supporters with any intellectual honesty and concern for their own families' safety should be mad as hell about it, unfortunately most of them are just out of touch with concensus-reality.
  • IMPEACH THE FOOL!
  • A million armchair political pundits all think they "just know" all the reasons that Iraq was invaded, and not a single one of them has any valid proof of their assertions, with the occasional exception of pointing a finger to some lunatic's blog. It gets a little tiresome to read day-in and day-out how many people are foolish enough to believe that one political party lies and the other one doesn't, or that one political party is better or worse than the other. Do I think the Bush Administration didn't lie about Iraq? I think that the government, regardless of their partisan affiliations, has not told the whole story of Iraq, but I won't point an accusational finger and call anyone a liar without first having proof. I don't think the public has been given the whole truth about Iraq, and I don't the public ever will. I think that those in power, those coming into power, and those that have been in power have enough sense to know that the general public isn't smart enough and doesn't have enough of an understanding of politics to know everything there is to know. I think that if the government were to simply release every piece of data it had about everything the world over, the country would fall into chaos and anarchy within a month.
  • Many Bush supporters are so unsophisticated that they refuse to believe anything bad about George W. Bush (remember, they voted for him twice!) even if every reason President Bush has given has proved to be a lie. America has become a land of evil. The rest of the world hates and despises us. And we are going to pay a terrible price for it.
  • It's not just the Bush admin. check out this link; http://land.netonecom.net/tlp/ref/vk2k.shtml There's much more to it if your mind is capable of handling the reality of what is happening to everyone on this planet.
  • COMMUNIST RULES FOR REVOLUTION (Captured at Dusseldorf in May 1919 by Allied Forces) Corrupt the young; get them away from religion. Get them interested in sex. Make them superficial; destroy their ruggedness. By specious argument cause the breakdown of old moral virtues; honesty, sobriety, continence, faith in the pledged word, ruggedness. Encourage civil disorders and foster a lenient and soft attitude on the part of government toward such disorders. (L.A. riots were just a coincidence? ... Of course!) Divide the people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial matters of no importance. (Racial differences?) Get people's minds off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexy books, plays, and other trivialities. Get control of all means of publicity. (Media) Destroy the people's faith in their natural leaders by holding the latter up to contempt, ridicule and obloquy (disgrace). Cause the registration of all firearms on some pretext, with a view to confiscation and leaving the population helpless
  • I supported A war to enforce the UN sanctions - even during Clinton's years. I was against Bush's war because he linked things that had nothing to do with each other. Iraq and 9-11. Bush went with the flimsiest of evidence of WMD, he actively suppressed any that didn't support the claim, he engaged in pure wishful thinking in believing the population would welcome the US with flowers and song... In fact, he pretty much mimicked his religious stances: Believe despite a lack of supporting evidence, in the face of contrary evidence. and wish your ass off that everything works out as advertised.
  • As a former Republican and now Independent, the only time this adminstration is NOT lying is when their mouths are closed.
