Sure...but nothing gets me going as much as an Irish or Scottish accent...:)
-
Depends on the context... "I've always depended on the kindness of strangers" = likable southern accent. "I'm gonna make you squeal like a pig" = bad southern accent.
-
Yes, I do. I like all kinds of accents. Southern drawls make me think of lemonade on the veranda, kindness and good manners.

When spoken by a female. (sounds like music)

That's a BROAD range of accents. Hearing a 4 year old from Tennessee say "Yes Ma'am" to his momma is a WHOLE lot different than some Georgian redneck scream "Y'oughnta git a beer over heah?" Of course, the latter was when I was in the Caribbean, supposed to be FAR away from any Americans (who can be crass and annoying in their own state, much less a foreign country)

Shore do!

Oh yes, I positively lurve Southern Accents. Although, in my humble opinion, Full Moon Fever was Petty's best album.

As long as I can understand them I think they are wonderful. Though I have to admit, even if I can't understand them, I still think it sounds great;-)

Depends on where in the south one is from. As i said earlier, i love emily procter's accent. she's from NC. My brother lives in georgia and i've heard some georgian accents that were so strong that they nearly killed my ears. Others there have a wonderful southern accent. I'll take a southern accent over a northern one anyday of the week month or year, however. Sorry if that offends anyone, but to me the accents are like the people. Strong, abrupt, rude, pushy, obnoxious are words that come to mind when i think of northerners but the accent brings these words to mind as well.

I have no idea what it sounds like, so I don't think so.. but, as you just said "southern" and nothing else, I could of course assume you meant southern Danish accent, but that complicates it a bit as there's two different southern accents. The south eastern one is cool, sounds a bit like they're singing (at least compared to common danish which sounds like a junkie who hasn't slept for 4 days), but the south western accent is pretty bad, people who talk like that cannot escape being called rednecks, even if they live in a city. ... I'm not making any sense, right?

i like any accent providing the person speaking is intelligent ;)

I have a southern accent, it can get old at times. But i do like how it sets me apart :]
