  • Wonderful TVs. Is this a CRT? Have you changed the batteries in the remote and tried the on-unit controls? CRT problems like this are usually a failed component in the power supply, unless it was dropped, in which case it could be the flyback or the electronic control unit. Unless it's an LCD or Plasma, best just to toss it and get a new one, I'm afraid. The price of repair is close to the price of a new unit.
  • Yeah its a CRT. Its nothing to do woth the remote for sure. It just turned itself off and started making some stupid flickering noise. Only had it a couple years.
