  • This is probably going to be a very vague answer that you weren't looking for, but I'll say that I think everything is relative and depends on the eye of the beholder. If you want to interpret your dreams to have some significance or meaning on you emotionally, personally, etc. then that feeling can give you meaning about things that you would not ordinarily have been able to have insight about otherwise. Some people may think their dreams to be meaningless only because they cannot make sense of it. Though I will say that more times than not, if you do dream about something it is because as a major component of your conscious [i.e. you think about it a lot consciously], it is natural to pervade your unconscious, through your dreams. I think scientists are far from completely understading how the subconscious and mind work, so there is no absolute answer to what dreams mean.
  • I believe they hold secrets your subconscious knows.. but that your waking conscious cant handle or you would go beserk. So you get the information in small mysterious riddles or pieces. I also think you are sorting out information in dreams, like your brain is storing/categorizing things.
  • They usually mean that I am asleep.
  • I have found for myself , that it's usally something that I need to work on and has been bothering me - And comes to me in form of a dream
  • sometimes dreams help you find solution on your daily dilemma in life, sometimes dreams helps you analyze things that you keep on ignoring and sometimes dreams warn you for future happenings or sometimes dreams are the revisions of what is happening into your surrounding while you are sleeping.. that what dreams means to me..
  • yes, there your sub-consious thoughts that can mean alot of things.. try going to www.dreamdictionary.com its pretty cool.
  • I have a question,, for the last few weeks I have had dreams of two men, one is married and the other is not, both of them i have had sexual encounters with, im good friends with the married one and the other not as close, it seems that i have a dream of one, one night and the other man the next night and as I said be for this has been a ongoing thing for a few weeks,, im just curious to know do these dreams have any meaning to them, I always thought some dreams make your future,, I just really need some advise about my dreams, its really been bugging me on why i have been having these dreams of only these two men...
  • Dreams do have meanings, but they are meanings that only that one individual can figure out. Many times the brain puts dreams in ways that we're supposed to either figure out, or we know but are denying in our concious life. They are a way for our sub-concious to come out and bring to the surface things that are affecting us, worrying us, or need to be taken care of. But like I first stated, only the person who is having the dream can interpret the meaning of the dream that they had.
  • All depends to what the dreamer choses to do with them!
  • I really want an answer to one of my dreams that happened maybe a year ago. there is a girl i liked and in the dream she lived in the house next to me, i for some reason was able to see what she was doing, she was brushing her teeth in front of a big mirror. that was it, girl i liked lived next to me, i saw her brushing her teeth in front of mirror.
  • Yes...unless they don't, of course
  • They can for sure. Dreams are like the sub-conscience's playground. All the rules are asleep, and the swirling mass of flotsam and jetsam of your experiences come out to play. Sometimes there are messages there, sometimes they are deeply meaningful and sometimes they are just for fun. But every image in your dream belongs to you alone - you created the play, scripted it, cast it, and directed it. Which means the sites or people that tell you "when you dream of owls it means death" are crap. Most every image in your dream is unique to you, so is it's meaning. Read Jung's "Man and his Symbols" if you're interested in dreams. Great book.
  • Yeah they mean your still alive.
  • Only wet ones. But honestly I think they do. They mirror your inner thoughts.
  • Trust me, yes.
  • it means I've enjoyed another good nights sleep my dreams are awesome
  • I think that our dreams can be a key to our future. I have had many many dreams that come true, and while it is happening I can tell you what is going to happen. It’s like watching a movie that you have already seen before.
  • no,they are just to make you happy for a while when sleeping.
  • They mean this: As human beings we have the ability to choose what something means to us. Some choose for dreams to mean nothing. Others choose to learn from them, and some even use them as inspiration to write books and cash in. As with anything, it's all what YOU make of it.
  • Dreams are often seen as what may happen or what they say about the waking life of the individual but sometimes they are images of the subconscious that comfort the mind prevent disturbing realities that will affect the person. Dreams are sometimes a personal fantasy that resemble the characteristics or personality of that particular individual. I hope this answer has been useful to you
  • I know that you are probably going to think that I made this up....but this really happened to me. I dreamt that my stepfather came to me in a dream and asked me to be one of his pallbearers. I told him that there was no way, he had just married my mother nine days prior, and I had just seen him before they went on their honeymoon, that nothing was going to happen to him. In the dream he told me goodbye and left. I told my wife about the dream the next morning. She blew it off too. The next day while at work I was called into the office and told to call home, right now. Called my wife who was crying when she told me that Nick, my stepfather of ten days, had a heart attack and was dead! Unbelievable! At his funeral I wasn't even on the pallbears list when the front left corner of the casket started to fall (Nick's son was on crutches and could not walk and carry the coffin at the same time). The minister motioned over to me to hurry over a few steps and catch the corner which I did and replaced Nick's son Bert at the front left corner of the casket. Very much like what Nick said to me in my dream happened. Spooky, don't you think?
  • yes, i believe that dreams help remind you of things you constantly think about throughout your day but may not pay too much attention to or try not to pay a lot of attention to. So they may be important, and dreams sometimes remind us of that. Or like in nightmares if someone you love keeps dying in your dreams, you really care about them and have a fear of losing them.
  • Well, I think that dreams don't really mean anything unless they reoccur. Sometimes everything that happens in your daily life just scrambles in together and makes a scene.it may show what you really want and wish for but you can't have.. it's cool..
  • i think they do. ppl say if you have a good dream its about something you want..[ie.i have dreams about my future life with this guy i know like 2-3 times a week.] i really like this guy and i want to be with thaat guy so its exactly what i want. also, if u have nightmares they're bout things u hope that dont happen or that ur afraid of..[ie.my brother watched boogeyman before going to sleep and hes been having nightmares bout boogeyman and sleeps with 2 nightlights!] sometimes you have dreams that r very bizarre and its hard to figure out what they mean. but once u wake up u shud write it down (u dont want to forget it) if u want to find out what ur dream means. and later u could try to figure it out. but dreams dont always have to relate really closely with ur life. [ie. one dream that ive had was that i was a citizen of a country who was in a war and losing. i thnk the dream meant that i felt sorry for the ppl who were suffering cuz of the war when they hadnt done anything wrong. and i am for world peace.] many ppl have different thoughts on this. but i think dreams do mean something. they cant be just totaly random. its just hard to figure them out at times. but ive made sense of all the dreams ive had that i remember. BUT..dreams cant tell the future.
  • They mean your asleep
  • Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said about Dreams: Abu Hurayrah narrated that Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said, "There are three types of dreams: a righteous dream which is glad tidings from Allah (God), the dream which causes sadness is from Shaitan (Satan), and a dream from the ramblings of the mind." (Sahih Muslim) • Good (True) Dreams: "True dreams are from Allah (God) and bad dreams are from satan" • Bad (Sad) Dreams: Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said, ...If he has a dream that he dislikes, then it is from Shaitan (Satan). He should seek refuge with Allah from its evil, and he SHOULD NOT MENTION IT TO ANYBODY, then it will not harm him." (Sahih Al-Bukhari) If one does tell somebody about the bad dream then there could be the chance that some harm will come out of it. • Dreams from the ramblings of the mind: those dreams reflect what is going on inside our minds and hearts.
