The Vampire Lestat is one that I can read over and over. I don't care for much of her new work....
-
"Interview With a Vampire" Book and movie.

Hi, Ed..I have no favorite because I have never read one of her novels, nor seen a movie depicting one of her novels..vampires are off-putting to me..I don't see how I could really appreciate any artistry involved in the creative process when right off the bat I cringe at the thought of vampires:)

I like the triology of the Mayfair Witches!!!!!!!!!
-
All the vampire chronicles and the trilogy of the Mayfair witches.

"The Feast of All Saints". Historical fiction about the free people of color, set in mid 1800s New Orleans.
-
A 3 way tie: Memnoch the Devil Cry to Heaven The Feast of All Saints (I haven't liked anything she has written since Memnoch - which was in 1995 or 96) -Z-
-
The Vampire Chronicles. I've read The Witching Hour but didn't like the way the story "ended."

"Interview with the Vampire" (1976) is the best of them all. Rice wrote from a deep well of pain and with a complete lack of guile during this first try, and the combination made a classic horror tale (tinged, ever so unsettlingly, with humanity).

I love the Sleeping Beauty Trilogy but my favorite will always be The Vampire Lestat.
-
I have everything she's written save a book of poetry and her new Christian series. To be frank - my fave Vampire Novel would have to be Lestat. Favorite Witching Novel? The Witching Hour, hands down. I'd have to give honorable mention to "Merrick", as it combines both those series. My favorite overall?? Her erotica series "Sleeping Beauty", written under penname A.N. Roquelaure. PHENOMENAL reading - whichever books or genre you choose!
-
Memnoch the Devil.
-
"Cry to Heaven"
-
The Blood Countess
