How come when you put a performance muffler on an american V8, you get a throaty vroom vroom noise, yet when i hear these imports sporting performance mufflers they make a zing zing noise that makes them sound like a lawn mower on steroids?

its the sound of the motor! v8 engines have always had the throaty rumble.imports have a 4 or 6 cyl,a smaller engine that turn higher rpm's.in essence they are a briggs and stratton on steroids!

Slap a Folger's can on back of a rice burner and it's still going to sound like it's constipated. Don't forget some Japanese stickers.
