The logic of it: the Japanese who fought in WW2 were very prideful people. Japanese beliefs centered on a militarized Bushido. They felt superior to the Chinese and other Asian countries. Japan sought to dominate Asia. Even at their surrender to the Allied forces, some say Japan surrendered because the US dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Others say the atomic bombs did not cause Japan to surrender, since the Japanese were ready to keep fighting. This is why people say too the US was afraid to invade Japan by land, as many Americans would have died. It was the Soviet Union who declared war on Japan on August 8, 1945 that caused Japan to surrender the following month. Japan did not want to fight a war with the US attacking them from the Pacific and Russia from the North.

My father and some of my uncles fought against the empire of Japan inWW2. They always said it was about resources and slave labor for the Japanese. The Japanese believed they had a divine right to overwhelm and conquer their neighbors and take their resources. Just like the Germans with their "lebensraum" creed. The emperor was given some bad advice by his generals and admirals, leading him to believe that the attack at pearl harbor would cripple the US navy to the point of making us an easy target. They were also overconfident. They met little real trouble taking over Asia, and they hadn't lost a fight in around 600 years. 12/19/25

★Stevo Why did the USA have 3 enquirers into pearl harbor? most of my family that went, fought the Japaneses in New Guinea, They taught us at school an Australian died for every meter of track laid on the Burma railway. -
dalcocono Because everybody was trying to assign blame for not seeing the attack coming. Copilot says; "The U.S. had three major inquiries into Pearl Harbor because: The disaster was enormous and demanded answers Different branches of government wanted their own investigations Wartime secrecy prevented early inquiries from being complete Public and political pressure required transparency and accountability" -
⭐️Creamcrackered They knew about the attack on Pearl Harbour, they let it happen. -
★Stevo I thought that was why they had 3 enquirers ? Dalcocono, do you trust copilot? I think its conspiring against us making sure we all get the government version of BS. -
dalcocono There was a lot of radio "chatter" at the time, and their tech was not what it is today. The knew there was a threat of an attack, but they ddn't know when or where. -
dalcocono I trust copilot like google. Some of the answers I get aren't at all accurate, so I don't share those. They are both great sources of info.

They had to expand their influence on the world wide stage, during a century of being taken advantage of by the West, they had to become a bigger player in the game of Chess that elites like to play. There was already an ongoing war between them and China. https://www.britannica.com/event/World-War-II/Japanese-policy-1939-41 https://youtu.be/qeLXnGaJlm4?si=pNo1PAr4Yq_hxcn5

Here's some info; "In short The Japanese government justified WWII to its people by telling them: Japan was liberating Asia Japan had a divine mission Sacrifice was noble and required The West forced Japan into war China needed Japanese leadership Victory was inevitable These themes were repeated in schools, newspapers, films, radio, posters, and even children’s books.". At that time is their history, their emperor was als their sun god. Japanese families here in CA often had shrines in their homes devoted to prayers to the emperor. -

I remember grandpa throwing on a turn when the Governor-General went to Emperor Hirohito's funeral -
dalcocono
My father never forgave them for shooting him. He always said "there ain't NOTHING good Japanese"! He would not have attended that funeral except maybe to make sure he was really dead!
