  • No. But I have had a man interested in me, but couldn't show emotionally intimacy, or the kind of commitment in which a relationship should generally meet certain milestones. He was emotionally unavailable and oncee a date became serious would feel the want to run for the hills. He'd had a bad divorce, and childhood. So my advice is don't analyse the situation or take it personal, some people are just so messed up from the past, they struggle, and it's not up to you to convince them, or change them, that's up to them. Alternatively, they may just not be attracted to the person, and so are using the "single" excuse to let the person down gently, or may prefer the person as a friend as friendships tend to last longer than relationships, due to the lack of complications relationships can bring, so they feel safer. Either way, take it for what it is.
