I made 6 fresh strawberry pies once for dessert service. I made a home made glaze to bind the fresh berries in the pie. We had big bins for flour and sugar, but somebody managed to pour a bag of salt into the sugar bin. luckily, I asked somebody to taste the glaze to see if it was sweet enough. It wasn't sweet at all, It was pure salt! 5/22/25

Many years ago I left the cooker on without realising it after I made the dinner but someone else in the house realised the cooker was left on and they turned it off otherwise the house would have been blown up. That was when I was a beginner at cooking.
