Why aren't there any new Friday the 13th movies being made?

10/5/2024, the Friday the 13th franchise is going on 16 years since Friday the 13th (2009) was released as the twelfth installment of the Friday the 13th franchise. In 15 years on what appears to be a halt production, nearly 10 more sequels could have been made. Talk about a lot of money that was lost.
