Shadow Of The MindIf it wasn’t for Putin, there would be no war on the Ukraine.

11stevo73How is what the US did any different to Russian missiles in Cuba?

bostjan the adequate 🥉That's actually a great analogy stevo. Ukraine did very little to deserve this invasion, but the "west" has done shady stuff to catalyze the invasion that no one in the western media is willing to bring up. And I'm not even talking about incorporating Ukraine into NATO. That said, I hoped Putin would have handled this better than he did. But the media has manipulated people in the US and plenty of other cultures into thinking this is solely a Russian power and land grab, when there is so much more to it than just that.

I don't know how they could remain unaware with all the fighting going on. Who knows what the news stories are over there though. I think none of this would be happening if Putin had not decided he needed to remake the Soviet Union by invading the Ukraine though. 8/19/24 edit, 8/22/24; Here is a news story about Russian news that was published today. It claims that the Russians only hear what the govt news wants them to hear. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/putin-humiliated-as-hackers-take-over-russian-state-tv-and-issue-chilling-warning/ar-AA1pfhJ9?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=36c492719abd4c33bbfdc712c4ff2688&ei=77

I don't know who they are, so I don't have any opinions on them. -
dalcocono
I just read a bit about them both online, and I think their opinions are valid, but doesn't change the facts of Putin's invasion and attempted take over of a nation who doesn't want to become the latest soviet satellite. -

Are they honerable? Did you watch any of their videos on youtube about their thoughts on the wars? -
dalcocono
I did not watch any of their videos on youtube. I can't say if they are honorable or not. What do you say about them? I can say Putin is not an honorable man. He is a poisoner and still uses his KGB background in his administration.

Generally no. Russian media is smart. Not only do they report a more flattering version of events, but they make sure to convince people not to care, or more importantly, to believe that their fellow Russians do not care. If no one talks to each other about a current event, it's far less likely for people to organize any sort of dissent.

1) Putin went to the West years ago, with his concerns of the ongoing infighting between the Russian side of Ukraine and the Ukrainian side. The West ignored him. 2) He made it clear, and with heavy support from his own people that "no country would be happy about a military bloc to which it did not belong approaching its borders". Despite this the West invited them to join Nato, they haven't accepted, but the intent was there. Our BBC pulled the Russian news media first, not Russia.
