Unfortunately there is suffering in the world because of people who do wrong to others whether it’s physical, psychological or both. Also, suffering has another meaning such as financial suffering, homelessness and poverty. It is also being around the wrong people who mistreat others in many different ways that causes suffering. It’s not the world that is a terrible place to live in but it’s the people in it who are doing wrong to others. To answer your question more directly, it is wrongdoings that causes suffering and situations that people get themselves involved with that also causes suffering.
