Yes, the Davidians lived on a compound called Mount Carmel, 2 miles outside of Waco, Texas. Illegal activities were going on in the compound: from rape, entrapment to semi-automatic rifles that were turned into fully automatic weapons. David Koresh and his followers thought they were doing God's work.

I remember seeing it on TV until 5 minuates ago I didn't know the Branch Davidians, were an offshoot of the Seventh-day Adventists and had no idea they still existed.

The JW's are also an offshoot of the adventists. Mr Russel studied religion with Ellen White until he decided to start his own church up.
