If you train a dog with treats and then the dog figures out how to get all the treats it wants will it still do the tricks for a treat?
What if you also eliminated the praise/attention reward? And by which motivation do pets more often respond? Treat or praise/attention?

I've never met a dog that lost its appetite for treats, no matter how many were given, but, when training, you probably want to plan out how many maximum treats to give during a session and not to surpass that amount. Many dogs will follow commands simply for praise or attention - keep in mind that dogs have been bred for millennia to work with people and do certain jobs - most of them will enjoy doing their job once they achieve the discipline and know-how to perform them.

And I don't think they will ever try to unionize for better treats. lol
