  • If I'm in good health and am not immobilized, fine. If I'm not in good health, I'd rather just die. As to whether I think I will, I have no idea. I've always been very careless about exposing myself to chemicals you're cautioned not to, plus I have hypertension. Age 71.
  • Most of my paternal ancestors died before they were my age. The ones who did had a laundry list of health problems by the time they were 50. On my maternal side, almost everyone made it to 90, and we had a handful who made it to 100. They stayed fairly health until the end. Until I was in my late 30's, I kind of assumed I'd be taking a little a la carte from each lineage, but, since then, it's been a new diagnosis of some random thing nearly every month. I still don't feel like I'm anywhere near ready to go. Now I've got a family who depends on me for survival. But honestly, if it weren't for them, I'd be ready to go. I feel like I made the most of my youth and lived a nice life.
  • My father lived until he was 90 and a few months old. However, he started getting dementia while he was in his 80's, and he was bedridden and nearly incoherent until he died. It was a sad end for him, and don't want to follow in his footsteps. 8/14/23
  • I don't know of a single person who isn't afraid of death. We all are because we don't know what comes after. Anybody who says they aren't afraid of death is already dead.

Humans knew exactly what death was and what it meant, and then religions came into the picture and lied to everyone in order to get people to stop dreading it so that they would go fight in wars and whatnot.
  • I am almost 85 and plan on being around when I am 90 unless the rapture happens first.
  • Who can tell, Linda? I'm a strange guy.
  • IDK I do know that on my mom's side of the family we never get osteoarthritis. Some relatives live to their mid 90s and never developed osteoarthritis any where in their bodies. I feel lucky that's true of us. I'm 74.
  • R.I.P. Linda Joy. May you find happiness in the after life.

I wonder if she has died. She says she's been sick for awhile, and then she suddenly just disappeared from this site.
