      Ooof, that already sounds like it'll be a critical disappointment. I guess there have been a few remakes that went well, but the rule seems to generally be that they are worse than the original, for me, at least.

  • It depends. That is: it depends on the quality of the original and on the quality of the reboot. Some reboots have been terrible. (To be fair: some of the originals were also terrible.) Some have been about the same. And a few have been superior to the original.
