I actually did that once. My mother brought a bag of Halloween goodies quite a way before Halloween. I hid it from my kids in the drawer of the workbench in the basement (next to the dryer). Every time I went down to fold clothing, I also treated myself. By the time Halloween approached, I had to replace it.

Linda JoyHere the kids pretty much only go to the subdivisions, not the ghetto, where I live. So I get my candy corn or harvest mix early on, eat it and then I go back after Halloween and pick through the discounted candy.

I would give the treats to the children at the door first and when Halloween is over then I help myself to the treats. It’s only fair that way because sharing is caring when thinking of others first before thinking of treating myself
