  • What age group are you asking? I love the idea of building a snow fort. But at my age, the cold tends to penetrate deeper than years ago.

All age groups. We don't get snow often, and then not much. The last snowman I built was less than a foot tall. If we build a snow fort to scale for little army men it wouldn't take long and we wouldn't get so cold. Then we could have hot cocoa to warm our hands back up after.
  • I agree with 1465 a little bit. That is: I'm a little too old to enjoy snow fort building. The cold isn't so bad to me, but that's one of many pastimes that are no longer as enjoyable as they were when I was a child.

Are you sure you're up to the task, LJ? Copying & pasting your answer might suggest that you be put out to pasture, too. (LOL) (Truth be told, I do it a lot of times myself - but not when there are only two answers, and I've commented on both of them - GEEZ! Talk about conspicuous...[insert laughing emoji here]).

As a kid I lived mostly in upstate New York (near Rochester). Back in the late 60s and early 70's there was more snow than you wanted most years, and we sure would get out in it and try to build elaborate snow castles. Of course, it was always way too much work and we'd end up with not much more than a very primitive wall. Once there were drifts high enough at the side of the house that we built (short, but fun) tunnels running through the fort, large enough for us to crawl/slide through.
