He did a LOT! He served 4 terms as potus, dying in office in his 4th term during WW2. He started the social security system we have today. He created the CCCs, Civilian conservation Corps that took in boys around the country and put them to work doing public works projects thru the great depression. They earned money, sending most of it home to help their families while keeping a small amount for their own personal needs while residing in the CCC camps. My father and uncle were both in the CCCs in Yosemite in the 1930s, I have a photo of FDR in an open touring car in Yosemite valley smiling and waving at the people there when he visited the park. 5/4/26
