  • Law Abiding Citizen.. Great movie from 2009, but I didn't like the ending.
    • Roaring
Don't know that one. I'll check it out.

Good flick, Iceman. Gerard Butler plays his part well.
    • Roaring
      That was one intense movie.
  • Loving Vincent. It is an animation with a story oriented to adults about the surrounding circumstances of Vincent Van Gogh's death. The animation is completely done in Van Gogh's painting style and it is incredible. The story questions if Van Gogh's death was really a suicide as judged at the time and it is excellent. It is very artsy but not in a way that turns off people who don't normally like real stylized stuff like that and the story is easy to follow. It is not getting mainstream distribution so you have to look for it in a theater that plays independent and international films.
    • Roaring
Excellent movie. Saw it at my local art theater twice.
  • I have a few the top one would be Amadeus, followed by last Jedi which comes out this week, the other two would be the dead zone, and T3 (love this flick)
    • mushroom
      Is it... modern?
    • Roaring
I assume T3 is Terminator yes. Don't know the dead zone. Is it Sci-fi?
    • ARTICFOX700
Dead zone was a sci-fi thriller movie back in 83. Has a strange ending but super acting by Christoper Walken . T-3 was terminator 3 and T2 was good as well.
  • Stranger Than Fiction -- all three of the Godfather movies -- The Rover
    • mushroom
Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.
    • Roaring
The Rover I'll check it out. My father never went to movies until the Godfather came out.

It's a great flick. Lower budget, although it doesn't show on-screen. The story is hard to grasp as it moves along, but when it's over, you see that sometimes life is about the little things. Either way, I'm a big fan of Guy Pearce (who's also excellent in Memento). I even enjoyed Robert Pattison, who broke away from his childish "Eclipse" movies and turned in a good performance.
    • Roaring
Yes Powerful movie. Guy was incredible.

      .
  • The Shack and The Resurrection of Gavin Stone are two good ones.
    • Roaring
Just recently saw The Shack, yes. That theme reminded me of "The Five People You Meet in Heaven. I'll check out The Resurrection of Gavin Stone. Don't know that one.
    • Rick Myres
I have seen the The Resurrection of Gavin Stone a couple of times. I know you'll like it too because it is about a young man pretending to be a Christian until. That is all I can tell you about it. Because I don't like to get anything wrong.
    • Roaring
Just saw Resurrection movie. Really liked the evolution of the characters, and the tension of expectations of the character in us with the deeper calling. "welcome without judgement" Love without Condition" Forgive Without Limit" are great aspirations for any Church, Temple or Mosque. Thanks for the suggestion.
    • Rick Myres
You are welcome glad you like it as I really do like myself.
  • Here's a German film (English sound track if you get the right edition) with an interesting twist: Run Lola Run.
    • Roaring
Yes! That's a powerful, intense, focused, fast moving film Saw it when it came to my little town theater a while ago
  • The Station Agent (2003), a film written for Peter Dinklage /// Legend (1985), preferably the version with Tangerine Dream soundtrack /// A Face in the Crowd (1957) ~ You'll never look at Sheriff Andy Taylor in the same way! Andy Griffith is astonishing in this early role! You could team it up with a movie from the light side ~ "No Time for Sergeants" (1958).
    • Roaring
Wish i could find Legend with Tangerine Dream soundtrack. Just ordered all the others you suggested.
    • Roaring
Had no idea that Andy Griffith played such an extroverted character.I did remember seeing No Time for Sergeants. Fun movie. Seeing the Station Agent again was a blast. That is a great movie.
  • The Last Seduction with Linda Fiorentino. Best modern noir I've ever seen. And with humor, too!
    • Roaring
Just put it in my Netflix list
    • Roaring
Wow, That is a great movie. And she is gorgeous! Look out fellows. It's curious that Linda didn't get a lot more first rate roles. She sure can act.
  • Just saw Black Panther at an IMAX theater. What a great story, and powerful charactors.
