  • Depends on what you are talking about. Hardships can send a person to an early grave as well.
  • true but its not always easy
  • 7=9=2-17 Disagree. Maturity is a natural process of growing, and wisdom is learned from other people. In many cases it takes more than one lifetime to learn wisdom. For instance, we know that some foods are poisonous because somebody died after eating some.

I would assert hardships Inspire growth, and that knowledge is learned from other people but wisdom comes from God. I would agree with you that I don't completely agree with the quote.

I can see that you have given some thought to this.
  • Disagree. A fool can be a mature fool but not have wisdom regardless of hardships - hence why they are fools.
  • Perhaps to a point. Beyond that "point" hardships have tear down effect and can ruin a whole lot.
  • No. You are making a global statement that is yes or no for everyone. That is a question that does not have one definitive one size fits all for everyone. Some hardsjips can be lear i g lesso s for some people. There are some hardships some people never recover from. There are some people who never learn and who keep making the same mistakes repeatedly and whining about it and dont understand why. So i have to disagree.

  • I would say it comes from insight which can come in many forms which may include hardships.
  • thats true
  • Agree. When we make bad decisions it leads to hardship. We learn, we apply then we grow up a little more.
  • Sure. But not always. Hardships can also lead to bitterness, victim mentality, depression, suicide, addiction- all kinds of bad things.

We can't always choose what happens to us but we can always choose how we respond.

      Yes, true
  • That's one source among quite a few.
  • No, just experience, of whatever kind. While hardships can impart them, that doesn't happen with everyone, and some people are really broken by them. You also need to be relatively intelligent to grow wise from experience. Not everyone is.
  • I believe that what does not kill you makes you stronger . Meaning if its a situation where the situation is so rough it could be fatal and somehow you survive you're stronger because you survived the ordeal.. JMO.
