Is there an air freshener that actually works after someone has dropped a stinker in your toilet ?

Everything I've tried just makes it breathtakingly worse or it just smells like flowery shit.

I light a match to burn off the stale air, often with my eyes closed, in case of explosion...

  That's fine in a warm climate. Up here in the "great white north" an exhaust fan is like leaving the doors open in the freezing temperatures.

  Some exhaust fans have charcoal filters so they don't actually exhaust. They were invented specifically to avoid that problem.
