Well... it would depend on the man. While someday I would like to POSSIBLY get married to the guy I am with now, I would not propose to him myself. Mostly because he is skittish of the idea and I am afraid that would put too much pressure on him. But also because he does have a few set ideas on women vs. men. (One of the funniest is that only women eat yogurt.) And I think this would be something he would see more as his job if it ever were to happen and I wouldn't want to step on those toes either.

No,I think the man should do it. Remember what happen when Brintey Spears did it!LOL!! Really, for me if the man can't ask you than he's not being a man. He is still a little boy in my eyes.

As a girl, I would so rather be proposed to. But, if the timing was right and my guy was too scared, sure I'd propose.

I think it's great for women to propose.... however, I don't think I personally could do it.

It's fine for others, but I don't think I'd be comfortable with that. I'm kind of traditional with those type of things.

I feel that it is acceptable, especially in this generation.. I personally feel, if a woman were to propose to me, I would be the happiest man on earth -- try me.. :)

It is great. However, women must also take the possibility of refusal into account. Not always are men ready. ---- ADDED ---- (my answer still applies, although it answered a duplicate question)
