  • Sounds like a bad pair of o2 sensors. You're looking at about $90 per for parts plus labour. Idle air control valve should operate normally once the sensors are replaced and working properly.
  • Good evening. Hopefully you haven't spent to much $$$ and your problem is the same as mine was. I have a 2001 Taurus DOHC and there is a vacuum line located under the carb slightly towards the engine that runs up and down, mine was almost broken at the bottom and damaged at the top. It is easy to get to if you remove the aif filter cover and the piece connected to that. Good luck and I hope you geat this in time as it is an easy $1.50 fix if that is the problem. Frank
