  • If should be fine. Don't run it under cold water or put butter on it. The odds are very slim that it will be serious. Your not a moron, you are learning to use a towel or cooking mit when you cook. But I have to say, you sound like my wife, especially with the phrase "burner things". She actually refers to the entire range as "the cooking thing".
  • You are correct.
  • Get a bowl big enough for your hand and fill it with cold water and keep your hand in it until it doesn't hurt as much. Go watch TV or somethin'.
  • What does this have to do with being a mormon?
  • No. I'm a cook at Tommy Bahamas and that shit happens all the time. Just clean it and dont agitate it and youll be fine. I have burn scars all over... it sucks.
  • You're dying. R.I.P.
  • I realize this was long ago, but I'll answer for those reading now that may one day be helped by this info. It hurts! But probably nothing serious. I usually have an iced drink. I'd put the burn against that. It lessens the burn. When I can take it off the cold surface without hurting then I put aloe Vera on it. There is also a triple antibiotic ointment with an analgesic in it that will help relieve the pain. Aspirin or Tylenol may help as well. If you develop a blister cover it with a bandage. The longer you keep the blister in tact the quicker it will heal and less likely it will scar. Also as soon as you open the blister you open it up to infection.
  • maybe you should get it checked out
  • A question on a Q&A website is probably the best thing you could have done. I mean, screw those idiots in the ER. What do they know, anyway?
  • maybe you should get it checked out if youre worried about it
