Driving a vehicle that is not cooling properly can cause serious damage to the engine due to overheating. A number of problems can occur. Even if the radiator is leaking, try to keep water in it. I once patched a hole in my radiator with a tube of gasket sealer. It was enough to get me through the Yuma desert.

Blown head gasket would be a best case scenario. You absolutely cannot drive a car hot! you may have a warped head or a cracked engine block at this point.but you probably know that by now cuz this is an old question.
